Spring - nature awakens, fruit and vegetable gardens want to be cultivated, we are busy planting, sowing and fertilizing. There is still snow on the mountains, while the first buds are already sprouting in our locations.
Countless hiking trails are right on our doorstep. The meadow path from Schenna leads past the Gassbauerhof, you can reach the Schenner Waalweg in 20 minutes. Numerous lift facilities bring you to the hiking areas:
In summer, around half of our livestock is on the alp, we bring in the hay, harvest and process herbs, vegetables, fruit and berries. The best time for summit and alpine hikes.
From mid-May to mid-September we offer our guests a special bonus: free entry to the public swimming pool at Lido Schenna (5 minutes).
The botanical gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle (1.5 km) are worth a visit at any time of the year.
There are tours of all levels of difficulty for cycling enthusiasts: from demanding mountain bike tours in the municipality of Schenna to leisurely cycling for families: the cycle paths in the Passeier Valley, in the Adige Valley and in the Vinschgau.
In autumn we pick our apples, the cows return from the pasture and calves are born. We squeeze apple juice and make sauerkraut.
Nature really lets off steam before the hibernation and shows itself in full blaze of colour.
Winter: a somewhat calmer time begins, nature withdraws, everything becomes calm to find strength for new things. The ideal season for walks away from the hustle and bustle, for a visit to the thermal baths in Meran, a stroll through the Christmas market and long, cozy evenings in our cozy holiday apartments.
The nearby Meran 2000 ski area offers pure nature and fresh winter air: pistes, cross-country ski runs, toboggan runs, hiking trails and rustic huts make a winter day on the sun terrace of Meran an experience.
